Chapter 5 Winter Winds

Life Aria Zion soon discovered was constantly changed, like all things in the world nothing stayed the same for long. The next day Aria received her second tattoo from Larry and this time she felt no fear sitting on the tattoo chair.

This one was a lot bigger than her last once, since Larry wouldn't quit joking about how she couldn't handle more than a tiny one. Aria knew it was a trick, but her stubbornness couldn't allow her to ignore it.

Aria gained a few promotions and started doing quite a few houses calls which she enjoyed immensely.

The one thing she didn't enjoy was seeing these amazing houses so her and Hunter decided they were going to save up for a bigger house. This caused sacrifices on both sides, Aria stopped going out with the guys and Hunter gave up his gym membership for exercise at home.

Another huge change in work was when Hunter announced not only had he got a girl pregnant but that they were moving in together. Her name Rhonda Bagley, Aria congratulated him glad he had found somebody to spend his life with. However Hunter's happy news also brought the bad with it, Rhonda wasn't a fan of him styling so Hunter had attained a job at the bistro. If that wasn't hard enough for Aria to adjust to, Larry the source of most her laughter, decided he wanted to join a political party. He told her he had to many views to keep shut up inside him. Garth Levesque was the new tattoo artist and though he was friendly he just wasn't Larry,

no new stylist was there to replace Aria loading her down with even more work. Her hard work didn't go unnoticed though as she received a prize from city hall for her styling work throughout the city, Aria hadn't never beamed with more pride.

Hunter's work life was also going remarkably well, An Angel's Wing became a best-seller and his latest book Bradman added another best-seller to the list.

They managed to finally avoid a computer and turned the spare room into an office for Hunter's work.

He donated his three books to the city hall library after Constance said they had been requesting more books and it was a great way to get them spread.

Speaking of Constance, Hunter spent a lot of time on the phone with her and going to lunches.

Aria struggled with her jealously but pushed it down firmly whenever they talked about their days. The hardest thing was though that when Hunter started on his first romance novel, not only would he not tell Aria what it was about, but he wouldn't even mention the name. Yet Aria knew he had frequent conversations with Constance about it. It brewed a fury and hatred towards her that Aria didn't want to keep contained. Hunter in a hope to relieve Aria encouraged Constance to ask her for a makeover, though Constance was beaming afterwards and full of praise for Aria, Aria still couldn't let go of her grudge.

As Spooky Day descended upon the folk of Riverview, Aria and Hunter made a last minute decision to throw a Costume Party. It was a good night, although the only costume available to Aria made her the most unfashionable stylist yet.

Everyone enjoyed themselves and Aria even found herself laughing with Constance the spirit of happiness getting to her.

However the vision of happy marriage that Aria believed she had, was covered with cracks that seemed to grow as the winter winds blew in. Every Monday Aria disappeared to deal with her Bridgeport side of life, coming back a mixture of happiness and sadness. She was a fool to think that Hunter had decided to ignore this, but in the fog of cheerfulness deafened her ears to Hunter's many comments. Despite this trouble was brewing and just as the first snows covered the tiny cottage of Riverview so did the undeniable fact that everything soon had to come to a head.

  1. LOL I liked the spooky day pictures. I got confused a bit by the two hunters but I quickly figured it out. Looks like her job is going well since she is getting promoted a lot!
